About

Bridget is a Vancouver-based journalist, with a Master of Journalism from UBC. She is passionate about stories with an environmental focus that also uplift the voices of underrepresented communities.

Drawn to journalistic endeavours from a young age, she started a school newspaper in Grade 6 and hosted and produced her own francophone television show in high school.

During her undergrad — where she graduated as valedictorian and with the Dean's Award of Excellence in Communication Studies and Business Administration — Bridget worked her way from contributor to News Editor at the school paper and joined a variety of other clubs and associations.

Her work has been featured on the front page of The Globe and Mail, and in CBC/Radio-Canada, The Georgia Straight, The Vancouver Sun, BCBusiness, Western Living and Vancouver Magazine.

She is one of the 2024 Joan Donaldson CBC News Scholars, a recipient of the 2024 Pattison Media Equity Scholarship and was also nominated for the Canadian University Press' 2023 Student Journalist of the Year.

In her free time, you’ll often find her crafting and creating magnificent cinnamon buns.
